In short, Gary helps run that server's shared event calendar (host submissions, staff review, forum threads, tags, and role pings), five-tier event ratings, the leaderboard, and related calendar tooling. People may use Gary from many places around the world. Event and vote data Gary stores are kept on systems located in the United States.

Gary and this website are operated by hyper. Discord also processes data when you use Discord itself. That processing is covered by Discord's own privacy policy, not this one.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with transfer rules, please know that using Gary means your Discord identifiers and related Service data may be processed in the United States as described above.
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service, keep the calendar and ratings history reliable, handle requests, or meet legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it where we reasonably can.
While we retain your data, we protect it with commercially reasonable measures to help prevent loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. That includes encrypting Gary's database at rest. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
This website does not use sign-in cookies. Any cookies you see while using Discord after following our invite are Discord's, not ours. This policy only covers gary.heypr.dev.
Gary and this website are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of Discord's age rules or applicable law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through Gary, please open a ticket in the Civilization Event Calendar Discord and ping hyper. We will not use those contact details for marketing.
